Me and my best friend

My wife and I, out for an evening of capturing moments in time, and making memories.

People on the street

Learning to ask people in public if I can take thier picture has been lot's of fun, and rewarding.

At the local Car Hop.

Watching an artist get down!

Abalone cove Palos Verdes

Nice place to spend a day, check for the tides before heading down to the tide pools.

Long Beach CA.

Another evening at Taquila Jack's, I have always wanted to be there for the sunset, the colors of the sky was well worth the wait.

Portaiture

I have purchased a lighting kit, and am looking forward to learning to take portrait's. I have read so much information my head is spinning, now it's time to put the knowledge to use.
My mom will be coming by this week, she will be my first subject, could not ask for a more beautiful subject to shoot.

Windless Glory

Something that caught my eye, something I have not seen very often, this great flag at rest, almost as if taking a break from a job well done.
I scurried to a location high upon a freeway wall, to try and gain a better vantage point, and try and capture this flag at eye level, but the higher I climbed the taller the flag stood... and it seems as it should, for I look up to this flag in more ways than one.

Tequila Jack's Long Beach CA.

I love to sit on the patio of Tequila Jack's, having drinks, eating tacos, watching the sun set waiting for the perfect "shot" of the sun setting behind the boats mast.

Meet me there, my tab is open.

Shooting around my stomping grounds.

I love to jump in the car and just drive, head in a direction and add a few turns and twist, and see where I end up. I've been doing this for years, but since I entered the world of DSLR cameras, I now look at things in a different way. Two great things about this is, 1. I find new enjoyment in the places I find myself, 2. I can share them in a creative way.
Photography brings me much pleasure, but the most pleasing part is that I also brought my wife with me into the world of photography.
My skills are growing, learning more on how to frame pictures, composition, post processing etc. Surprising to me is how well my wife is learning to compose shots, she is a natural. She has a real eye for beauty; she finds beauty in things most would not think of, but once captured in a photograph we can all see what she see's.
My wife and I make a great team as photographers, my technical skill and her natural sense for finding the beauty in things... It's exhilarating.
